Pianist Aaron Diehl and his quartet lead you to discover the genius of the Modern Jazz Quartet and its music director, John Lewis.  Lewis’ compositional style infused the genteel qualities of the European classical tradition into the jazz idiom, creating a hybrid of sophistication and soul.
