A unique evening of Jazz inspired by Spooky Classical Music Works
Musica Reginae Productions (MRP) kicks off its 27th concert season with a fun event featuring the Paul Joseph Trio in an evening of spooky-themed jazz just in time for Halloween. Come out to celebrate the start of “Spooky Season” and listen to a concert of Jazz inspired by classical masterworks.

About the Artists:

Paul Joseph - piano
Paul Joseph, Composer-in-residence with the Queensboro Symphony Orchestra, has taken enthusiastic audiences on an inspiring musical journey through the passionate world of his classically-oriented compositions in orchestral, choral and ballet performances, as well as all-original solo piano concerts. His compositions have been performed by many orchestras locally as well as nationally. World renown maestro Arthur Fagen states, “Paul Joseph is certainly a composer whose music deserves to be heard. His music has a beautiful, deep felt lyricism which has an immediate emotional impact upon its listeners.” As a pianist, Paul Joseph has performed extensively throughout the Long Island/NYC region, most recently as leader of his jazz quartet. The Paul Joseph Quartet is known for its unique jazz arrangements of classical music, as exemplified in their performance with New York’s Nova Philharmonic of “Mozart Meets Jazz.” His full-scale ballet “The King of the Mask” has been choreographed and performed by both Ballet Long Island and Dance Visions NY. Danny Borg – drums
Danny Borg has made his mark as one of the most versatile musicians in the New York music circuit. Comfortable in any setting, Danny can be found playing anywhere from jazz clubs, recording studios, and famous stages like Radio City Music Hall. Throughout his career, he has been privileged enough to share the stage and studio with a number of renowned musicians including Kenny Werner, Ron McClure, Ralph Lalama, Jimmy Owens, Nir Felder, James Wideman and New York Yankee legend and guitarist Bernie Williams. While completing his undergraduate degree at the New School University, Danny was on faculty teaching undergraduate students in private, classroom and ensemble settings. Danny is currently an adjunct professor of music at St. John’s University with a focus on songwriting, music history and percussion studies.

Edgar Mills - bass
Edgar Mills has been playing and working in the NY/metro areas for decades and has been a part of countless jazz, fusion and pop groups and has shared the stage with many jazz icons. As a well regarded first call acoustic bassist, he has worked with a host of international players and has been featured on numerous jazz recordings. He is also an accomplished studio and recording engineer and videographer. His platinum CD credits include “Marcy Playground” and his TV credits include the Discovery Channel’s “Last Seen Alive.” Edgar’s world dance global fusion CD and DVD “Buddha on Mars” was released in 2000 to critical acclaim, with segments aired on PBS. He also has served on the board of the John Coltrane House.
